And the online world is exactly the same, and social media tools like Facebook and Twitter are the means to which you can create and leverage a seemingly endless pool of contact, associates, and would-be clients.

When leveraged properly Facebook in particular is fantastic in its lead generation and web marketing research possibilities: for a new business, you can instantly get invaluable information about other businesses and partners.   Not only that, the information is in-depth and actionable: location, age, education, personal interests – the stuff of which strong relationships are built.
